A short history of 'that big bloke'

Well John started late in life, when the call to 'do something he's always wanted to do' became so strong, he couldn't hold off any longer.  Only 5 years ago did he start tinkering with vocals (the only time he'd strutted his stuff before was doing a couple of charity gigs in 80s).  Getting together with his close friend, he started an ensemble aptly named 'Slim Goat and the Dead Herders' whose short lived life together played covers of soft rock.  From this point he joined the classic rock band 'Furbawlz', and had an extremely enjoyable time playing some of the rock stuff he was into in the 70s.  From here he's been involved in AOR rockers 'Reviver' singing covers of Journey, Toto, Whitesnake etc.  More recently (18 months ago) he started another band 'The M2V Band' who play a mixture of classic rock and pop tunes.  Whilst he is still involved with M2V, he is really proud of getting together the Blue Fingers.  "it happened so quickly it was frightening, we started talking of gigs about 15 minutes into the first session it felt that good" he says.  He puts a lot of this down to Stef who, while being a generation and bit younger than the others, inspires the others to raise the game with his brilliant virtuoso playing.  "I thought of this band being a side issue to my other interests, but playing with these guys has re-stimulated my love for the blues, and Stef's playing is awesome, it gives me so much time to visit the bar!".  Nuff said!
